How far ahead should I book my trip?
For most trips the recommended planning is at least 3-4 months in advance; for peak season travel, at least 6-8 months in advance. Peak season travel refers to summer, holiday week/weekends, and school breaks in February-April. Deciding when to book your trip depends on a few factors: the availability of the travelers going on the trip with you, dates of the trip, and the destination of where you want to go.
Looking to do a cruise vacation and go away on a ship for at least 4 days? From my experience and knowledge of cruising, it is best to book a cruise 2 years in advance. You may be like Woah, that is like too far out! But when you work with a travel agent who knows Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines, you will see planning far ahead is the best decision. By booking 2 years out from your sail date, you will get the best deals and your first pick on your cabin (or state rooms).
